Patricia, who was affectionately known as "Patti" to her family and friends, was born Jan. 22, 1949, in Youngstown, the only child of Charles "Chuck" Jackson and Marguerite Armstrong.
She was a former member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, where she spent most of her youth, actively participating in various organizations.
She was a 1967 graduate of The Rayen School and she received a degree in education from Youngstown State University.
Following her dream to teach, she was employed by the Youngstown Board of Education, teaching at Bennett, West and Taft Elementary Schools. She was a former member of the YEA and the Ohio Valley Club of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women Inc.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her aunt, Helen E. Jackson-Porter; a stepmother, Mattie Jackson; her friend and caregiver, Marva Griffin, with whom she made her home, all of Youngstown; and a host of cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, who raised her; Macie Armstrong; her parents; an aunt, Delores Armstrong; and a special cousin, Raymond Griffin.
Friends may call Saturday, one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
