Services were held Tuesday for E.C. Puryear, 69, of Ingram, who died November 17, 1984 at the Peterson Hospital. Rev. Kelly Speer officiated at services in the chapel of the Kerrville Funeral Home and interment followed in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
A resident of Kerr County since 1959, he was born January 129, 1915 in Wellington. He graduated from Wellington (Texas) High School with the Class of 1932. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, and a former Deputy Sheriff for Kerr County from 1959 to 1966. He was a former resident of Midland where he was on the police force for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Puryear of Ingram, two daughters, Mrs. Diane Duddington of Joshua and Mrs. Carole Young of Cheney, Washington; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Peters of Wellington, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
