Herman Meyen Dies in Wilmington, Calif
Herman A. Meyen, 68, resident of the Sutherland community for the past 35 years until one year ago when he moved to the west coast, died Monday forenoon at a hospital in Wilmington, Calif. The remains will be returned to North Platte on Thursday afternoon and will be taken to the Adams Funeral home, awaiting arrangements. Accompanying the body will be Mrs. Meyen. Surviving are his widow, Edna C. Meyen; three sons, Albert and Ed of Sutherland and Joe in the US Army stationed in Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Verna Funk of Wallace and Mrs. Clinton Farmer of San Bernardino, CA; three step-sons, Ray, Harry and Frank Maher of Sutherland and Mrs. Ivan Sutherland of Los Angeles.
