Rose M. Bibler, 87, rural Williston, died Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, at Trinity Medical Center in Minot after a sudden and unexpected illness.

Rose Marie Bruun was born to Fred and Olive (Puffer) Bruun on Oct. 26, 1923, near Appam. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethany Lutheran Church in Appam. She attended elementary school at the Appam School and graduated from Alamo High School in 1941. After graduation she went to work for the Appam Elevator Company.

Rose was united in marriage to Charlie A. Bibler on May 16, 1942, in Sidney, Mont. After Charlie returned from the service they purchased land in Twelve Mile Township where they established their home. Together they resided on the C/X ranch until 1997 when Charlie passed away. Rose continued to live on the ranch until her death.

She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, rural Williston. She served as a member of their WELCA committee. She was also a long-time member of the Stony Creek Homemakers Club, and rarely missed a meeting. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers and the yard. She loved to be outdoors and anything to do with cattle. She enjoyed quilting and made many quilts for her family, friends and Lutheran Relief.

(Donna) Bibler of Williston; grandsons, Flint Bibler of Williston and Brent (Kathy) Bibler of Lewistown, Mont.; great-granddaughter, Keeley Rose Bibler; stepgranddaughter, Lori (Terry) Holleman of Kenai, Alaska; sister, Adeline Thoring of Bemidji, Minn.; brother, George Bruun of Lewistown; sister-in-law, Virginia Bruun of Pinewood, Minn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
