A beautiful Lyric Soprano, Mrs. Meaney was the youngest person at that time to achieve the honor of performing at Olgebay Park in Wheeling, WV. She also performed on stage as a dancer, actress and comedienne. She earned her bachelor's in accounting and spent many years volunteering with various organizations, most recently on Jamestown Island with the National Park Service and the Association for the Preservation of Virginia Antiquities. She did this in honor of her First Families of Virginia ancestors. A much beloved wife of Thomas Francis Meaney, who died on August 4,1994, and adored mother, she exhibited such amazing grace in her valiant seven year battle against a Parkinsonian Plus disease.

She is survived by two brothers; three daughters; two sons-in-law; and three grandsons, and was predeceased by parents Claude Randolph Ayres and Charlotte Elizabeth Hinkle Ayres. Burial was October 19 2010.
