Melinda M. Wright, 36, of Alpha, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010, at the Clarissa Cook Hospice in Bettendorf.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Catholic Church in Woodhull. Burial is at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home in Alpha, where a rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. A memorial fund will be established. She was born Nov. 22, 1973, in Silvis, to Robert and Katharina Boddie Fox. She graduated from Moline High School and Black Hawk College. On Feb. 11, 1995, she was united in marriage to Michale W. Wright in Moline.
Melinda was employed as a secretary at All Feed Processing and Packaging in Alpha, and was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Woodhull. She especially loved her family and enjoyed watching and cheering for her daughter at tumbling classes.
Surviviors include her husband, Mike; three children, Alyssa and Alex Wright and Christopher Fox, all at home; her mother, Kathy Brook, and a sister, Chancie Running, both of Kankakee, Ill.; stepmother, Tracy Nissen, Coal Valley; grandparents, Arthur and Sue Fox, Moline, and Martha Swanson, Ruskin, Fla.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her father and her grandmother, Dorothy Fox, preceded her in death.
