SUNNYSIDE -- Mrs. Nettie B. Howder, 96, a former Outlook resident, died Friday.

Mrs. Howder was born in Merna, Neb where she spent her early years and received her education. She married Fred Howder Jan 23, 1904 in Neb. They farmed in Knox County, Neb and later in Wyoming. In 1935 they moved to Richland where they farmed until 1943 when they retired and moved to Outlook. She had lived in Sunnyside Nursing Home for the past 10 years.

She was a member of the Outlook Church of the Brethern and the Outlook Grange. Her daughter, Elsie Halverson, died in 1959. Ten brothers and sisters also preceded her in death.

She is survived by five grandchildren, Mrs. Elton (Laura) Curnett of Sunnyside, Mrs. Pearl Colley of Richland, Henry Halverson of Pasco, Fred Halverson of San Diego, Calif and Theodore Halverson of Fullerton, Calif., 18 great-grandchildren, and one gggrandchild.

Burial in the Lower Valley Memorial Cemetery, Sunnyside, Yakima, WA.
