The daughter of Arba Dimmick (1841-1880)and Josephine Wernette (1853-1877), Laura's parents died when she was young. She is listed in the census and in San Antonio city directories working as a dressmaker in the 1890's. She appears again in the 1900 census for San Antonio, living on Montana Street as a border and working as a dressmaker. She is 23 years old. Laura married on 31 Dec. 1901 an Emil Christian Wosnig, whose family ran a grocery store in San Antonio. Emil and Laura lived in Waco in 1910 and 1920, and Laura is also listed on Emil's WWI draft registration. Emil died in 1940, and Laura died in the State Hospital in Austin. No children appear in any records I have found.
