Alfred H. Froom, age 68, of 1104 Shehy St., a resident of Youngstown 60 years, died of a heart ailment at 9:40 a.m. today in North Side unit of Youngstown Hospital. He had been ill a year. Born in New Castle, PA, Feb 8,1872, Mr. Froom was a son of William and Catherine Hinkson Froom. He moved to Youngstown 60 years ago and was a candy maker here. He was a member of Grace Methodist Church. Mr. Froom leaves his wife, the former Anna Hirst, whom he married 40 years ago; two sons, Earl W. of Columbus, and Leroy H. of Youngstown; a daughter, Mrs. Harold Hurdley of Youngstown; a brother, Harry A., of Youngstown; three sisters, Mrs. Mollie Dunlap, of Pasadena, Calif., Mrs. Ivor Morgan of Salem, Ore., and Mrs. George Singleton of Cleveland, and six grandchildren. The body is at the Shriver-Allison South Side Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Alfred H. Froom, aged 68 of 1104 Shehy St., who died yesterday morning in the North Side unit of Youngstown Hospital, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Shriver-Allison South Side Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening and Wednesday evening.
