Lebanon (IN) Reporter - 8 April 1944, Page 1: William G. Eaton, age 84 years, a prominent farmer, passed away Friday afternoon at 3:10 o'clock at his home south of Elizaville. He had been in failing health with a heart condition for some time and seriously ill since February 1. Mr. Eaton was born in Marion County, a son of Leland M. and Ruann Eaton, both natives of Indiana. He engaged in farming in Boone county many years and had lived at his present farm home for the last thirty-three years. He was a member of the Elizaville Baptist Church. He was marreid in Lebanon on February 23, 1886, to Mattie E. Hamilton who survives. They observed their fifty-eighth wedding annivesary last February. Surviving are the widow, five children, Mrs. Lula Nash at home, Mrs. Fern Muston of near Pike's Crossing, Noble G. Eaton of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Floy Burns of -- {This was the end of the page 1 article. The continuation on page 4 is mostly illegible except for the final paragraph which follows.} Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock at the Harold B. Lawler funeral home with the Rev. Harry O'Dell and the Rev. Frank Buckner officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery. The body was removed from the Lawler funeral home this afternoon to the
residence south of Elizaville where friends may call until noon Sunday when it will be returned to the Lawler chapel for the rites.
