She was born in Floyd County, December 6, 1931, daughter of the late Clifford Lee Lemming and the late Lucy Viola Beam Lemming. She was a retired security employee with Bekaert Steel Wire Corporation and was a member of the East Rome Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Leonard Brownlow, and by brothers and sisters, Juanita Cochran, Agnes Pilgrim, Audrey Purcell, Rayford, Raymond, and Eugene Lemming.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Deborah Brinkley, and her husband, Ricky, Rome; a sister, Mrs. Betty Parnell, and her husband, Jim, Rome; 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 2pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. Larry Davis will officiate. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12 noon until service time. At other hours, the family may be contacted at the residence.
Pallbearers serving are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home on Wednesday at 1:30pm and include: Billy Joe Chambers, II, Cody Chambers, Jerry Spradley, Wes Wright, Larry Lemming, Dennis Lemming, and Michael Shuman.
