Born in Chicago, Illinois on December 16, 1935, the daughter of Gabriel and Kathleen (Bell) Garro. She was raised and educated in Chicago and was a retired Executive Secretary with Container Corporation.
Both she and her husband Daniel moved to Naples from Bolingbrook, Illinios in 1999 and were active in the Harley Mills American Legion Post No.135 and AmVets Post No.23 both in Naples. Her husband of 35 years, Daniel Thomas Bobula passed away this past April 19th.
Survived by her daughter Deborah (Craig) Sawicki, brother Gregg (Kelly) Garro, two granddaughters, Samantha and Cristen Sawicki, niece, Alexandra Garro and nephew, Michael Garro. Also survived by her dear friends, Judi and Richard Pehoski.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at the Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Road.
Barbara was laid to rest next to her husband at Sarasota National Cemetery on Thursday, November 18, 2010.
