He was born on August 19, 1903, near Troy Mills, He was married May 16, 1931, to Rachel Schmickle at Vinton. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Edward Allen of Winthrop; Rachel Fonda Beck of Cedar Falls, and Mrs. Donald Bedard of Waterloo; a son, Ivan of Cedar Falls; a sister, Mrs. John Peyton of Marion; a brother, Clyde of Waterloo; 10 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. Services: Friday at 2 p.m. at the Walker United Methodist church. Burial: Troy Mills cemetery. Friends may call at Murdoch funeral home in Walker after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
