She was born on October 22, 1918 in Titusville, Florida to the late Fred and Pearl Everritt. She retired after 37 years of service as a Sears retail catalog manager. She was a lifelong member of Beta Signa Phi and served as a Rosie the Riveter repairing airplanes during World War II. She was a member of the Westview Baptist Church in Douglasville, Georgia.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her son-in-law Robert W. Hites.
She is survived by her daughter Beatrice Hites; granddaughter Becky Hites; grandson and spouse Robert and Lydia Hites, Jr.
Interment will be held at 9:00 AM on Friday, July 23, 2010, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Titusville, Florida.
