James Russell Schmidt, 50, of Tulsa, OK, died on October 6, 2010, in Tulsa. He was born on August 1, 1960, in Herington. He is survived by his wife Norma, a step-daughter Flavia, two sisters: Doris Dixon and Ernestine Schmidt, and his brother Merle Schmidt.
Both Ginger and James were raised in Herington and attended Herington schools; Ginger graduated from Herington High School with the class of 1972, and James with the class of 1979. They were the daughter and son of Herbert O. Schmidt and Wilma Doris (Weeks) Schmidt Martin, both of whom preceded Ginger and James in death.
Both Ginger and James will be inurned in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington, next to their mother. A family inurnment service is being planed for Saturday, November 20th, 2010, at 11:00 am, in the Sunset Hill Cemetery; weather permitting.
The Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Herington Chapel, is assisting with arrangements.
