Former Ireton resident passes away in Calif.
Henry De Raad, former Ireton resident, passed away on Wednesday. .May 20 in Bellflower, Calif., following a stroke which he suffered two weeks earlier.

Funeral services were held Monday at the Presbyterian church in lreton. Burial was made in the family plot in Pleasant Hill cemetery.De Raad was born December 30, 1880 at Alton where he grew to manhood. In 1902 he was united in marriage to Nellie Popma at Maurice. Mrs. DeRaad passed away in 1939. The couple farmed in the Ireton vicinity.
He was the last surviving member of the Arie De Raad family in which there were fourteen children.
His survivors are Mrs. Glen Miller, Frank, and Leonard of Bellflower, Calif., Woodrow of Norwalk. Calif.. Harvey and Arthur of Hudson, S. Dak., and Mrs. Kenneth Miller of Ireton. Fifteen grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren
also survive.
