Mrs. Gaar died at 6 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 1972, in Midway Manor Nursing Home after a short illness. She was a native of Natchez, Miss., a former resident of Dodson, a Shreveport resident since 1964, and was a member of Wynn Memorial Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, Magnolia Chapter.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Evangeline T. Harbin, Shreveport; two sons, Joe F. Trainor and R. L Bennett, both of Shreveport; two brothers, the Rev. Mr. Walton, Overton, Tex., and Joe F. Waltman, Denver, Colo.; a sister, Mrs. L. C. Prothro, Hallsville, Tex.; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
