Together, they successfully owned and operated a dry cleaning business and, later, a Pepsi Distributing company. They enjoyed vacationing and ballroom dancing.
After raising her family, Betty worked at a local gas company. Upon her retirement in 1988, she continued her love of traveling. While living in Columbus, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church there. In 2005, she moved to Grand Island to be close to her family. She was a dedicated mom and grandma, supporting and encouraging her children and grandchildren. Betty loved spending time with her grandchildren, attending all of their activities. She enjoyed walking, playing puzzles and games and feeding the ducks. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
