EAST LIVERPOOL - Paul J. Vincent, Sr., 79, of Substation, died Saturday morning, Nov. 20, 2010, at his home following a lengthy illness.
Born in East Liverpool, March 27, 1931, he was a son of the late William Tracy and Pauline Louise Wines Vincent. A graduate of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1949, he was a member of the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association and the Negley Lodge of the Free and Accepted Masons and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Steubenville. He enjoyed golfing and bowling.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Tri-State Korean War Veteran's Association Chapter No. 126.
For many years he worked as the terminal manager for the S.H. Bell Company in East Liverpool until retiring in 1997.
His wife, Ardis Guy Vincent, survives him at home. The couple married Jan. 14, 1955.
There is a daughter, Tracey Allison, and her husband William, of New Cumberland, as well as a son, Paul J. "Skip" Vincent Jr., and his wife Karen, of Wellsville.
There are four grandchildren, Nicole Allison, Taylor Allison, Heather Cave, and her husband Brian, and Chelsea Baker; along with one great-grandchild, Adriel Baker.
Other survivors include a sister Mary Dailey, and her husband Robert, of Salem; and three brothers, John Vincent, and his wife Betty, of New Port Richey, Fla., Robert Vincent, and his wife Karen, of Wellsville, and Larry Vincent of Wellsville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sandy Bishop; and two brothers, William and Richard Vincent.
