"Together Again"

Helen Nicholson Shober, age 96, passed away November 18, 2010 at the home of her son, Douglas, surrounded by her family, as a result of too many birthdays.

Helen was born February 12, 1914 to Stanley Livingston and Johanna Brox Nicholson. She married the love of her life, Ernest E. Shober, October 26, 1939. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on September 5, 1968. He passed away February 7, 2001. They were blessed with three children.

Mom spent her life in the service of others. She was a professional seamstress and an avid gardener with a major "green thumb." Her roses were all #1 winners. Her quilts are treasured memories to her children and grandchildren. To her family she will be remembered as the best mother, mother-in-law and grandmother anyone could ask for. We love you, Mom, and will miss you.

Helen is survived by her children: Stanley (JoAnn) Shober, JoAnn (Norm) Breeze and Douglas (Jackie) Shober; 16 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; brother, Warren J. Nicholson; special friends, Luana Thorup and Georgina Ross.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Viewings will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
