Jean Ann Butler Haver, 80, of Newnan, Georgia, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, September 3, 2013.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 6, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Newnan. Mrs. Haver will lie in state Friday at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 p.m. at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel. Born March 9, 1933 in Columbia, TN, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Owen Butler, Sr. and Dorothy Morgan Butler. She was a 1952 graduate of Columbia Central High School. She was a Kiwanis member having served as Past President and Secretary- Treasurer of the Ladies Kiwanis of Coweta. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Newnan and was a member of the Martha Fuller class as well as the Martha Circle.
Survivors include her husband Bob Haver of Newnan, Georgia; son, Keith Gilliam of Villa Rica, Georgia; brother, Dr. Charles Morgan Butler of Jewell, Mississippi; sister, Beverly Butler Edwards (Dick) of Fairburn, Georgia; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Lt. Thomas Owen Butler, Jr., Robert Collier Butler; sister, Frances (Fran) Butler Browning.
