Enlisted Aug. 14, 1862, at Wellington, OH(Lorain County) in Company F, 103rd Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry, as a private for a term of 3 years. Occupation: Shoemaker. Died July 12, 1863(Date of death also given as July 13, 1863)of disease at Camp Dennison, Hamilton County, OH.

Wife: Mary, born 1822 in OH. Daughter: Lizzie, born 1861, OH.
