Nowata-John Francis Blagg, 80, a retired farmer and resident of Nowata, Route 1, died Friday (December 2, 1983) at Nowata General Hospital.
Services will be at 10am Monday at Benjamin Funeral Chapel at Nowata. Graveside services will be a 3pm Monday at Dayton Cemetery, in Uniontown.
Mr. Blagg was born July 24, 1903, in Mansfield, Wyoming. to Mr. and Mrs. John Sylvester Blagg. He moved from Wyoming to Arkansas, then to Fort Scott. In 1932, he moved from Fort Scott to Nowata.
Survivors include two sons, John Francis, Jr. of Anthony, Kansas and Charles Kenneth of Route 1, Nowata; one stepson, Bruce Stephens of San Marcos, California; one brother, Lowell of Jonesboro, Tennessee; three sisters, Lucille Miller of Topeka, Esther Johnson of Spokane, Washington and Lula Roberts of Fort Worth, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
