The Salida Record July 25, 1913

William Oxley, age 29, died in a bath tub at the county hospital Monday from an acute attack of peritonitis. Deceased had no home. He had been traveling through the west in search of work, and was taken suddenly ill. After being taken to the county hospital he rallied for a few days and had been apparently on the road to recovery. Funeral services were conducted from the J. H. Hunt parlors Tuesday afternoon. Interment in Fairview
