Jessie "Faye" Boomer Trask, age 90, Rapid City, died Tuesday, February 1, 1983, at a local hospital. Faye was born July 19, 1891, at Delhi, IA, to parents Allen L. and Laura E. (Stone) Boomer. She grew up in Iowa and moved to Chamberlain at age fifteen.
She married Walter S. Trask on June 3, 1910, in Rapid City. The couple lived in the Aberdeen area. Later, Mrs. Trask taught school for more than 50 years in Jackson County, Hill City, Belle Fourche, and McFarland, CA.
She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Order of the Eastern Star, and the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Annie Laurie Benton of Decatur, IL; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Adelaid Hockanbary of Interior, and Hope Albrook of Pullman, WA.
Faye was preceded in death by three sons.
Services for Faye will be Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Rapid City with the Rev. Jimmie Treat officiating. Burial will be in the Hill City Cemetery under the direction of Behrens Mortuary. A memorial has been established to the First Baptist Church.
