Passed Away: 01/22/2009McDonald and Son Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Norma Jean Bagwell, age 65, of Cumming who died at Northside Hospital Forsyth on Wednesday, January 21, 2009.

Mrs. Bagwell lived in the Atlanta area since 1964. She was a loving wife and mother who supported her husband's ministry as a pastor's wife since l966.

Mrs. Bagwell also was the author of numerous articles distributed by her husband. She was a Sunday School teacher, church solist and an integral part of the churches her husband served. She loved to travel with her husband to the hundreds of revivals he preached.


Survivors include her husband, Reverend Dr. Mike Bagwell of Cumming, Georgia; daughter, Joy (Travis) Smith of Cartersville, Georgia; sons, Reverend Joel (Jeanne) Bagwell and John (Lacie) Bagwell, all of Cumming, Georgia; brothers ,Jim Wilson, Tom (Ruth) Wilson; Jack (Sharron) Wilson, and Jess (Patti) Wilson, all of Coudersport, Pennsylvania; and her beloved grandchildren, Andrew and Aaron Bagwell; and Jeremiah and Michaiah Smith.


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 24, 2009 in the Chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home with Reverend Dr Mike Bagwell and Reverend Joel Bagwell officiating.

Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, January 23, 2009; and from 10:00 AM until service time on Saturday, January24, 2009.
