Thomas Glenn Black died Wednesday night at the family residence 1235 East Vanderhoof street. He would have been twenty-seven years old next May. His death was caused
by pneumonia, after an illness of only eight days. His is the second death In the family from the same disease
in less than two weeks. His brother, Archie Black, died of pneumonia a week ago Monday and was buried the following Wednesday. On his return from the funeral, Thomas Glenn
Black was taken ill with influenza, which soon developed into pneumonia. Both young men were machinists, as is also their father, C. A. Black. Thomas Glenn Black was born May 8, 1892 in Moweaqua. He came with his parents, brother and sister, to Decatur six years ago and the family has resided here ever since. When taken ill he was employed at the Cash Machine company in Industry Court. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruth Black, his parents, Mr. & Mrs. C.A. Black and a sister, Mrs. P.Mitchell and his grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Spring, all of Decatur. The funeral will be held at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the residence. Interment will be in Fairlawn.
