Chico Record, Tuesday, February 14, 1939: "Laura Partridge Passes One Week After Son Dies. Mrs. Laura A. Partridge, 63, died early Sunday morning at her home, 730 W. First St., just one week after the death of her son, Percy Anderson.
"She was a native of Potter County, Pennsylvania, and came to California in 1886. Mrs. Partridge settled in Chico in 1888 and had resided here since.
"Survivors include the widower, Frank Partridge of Chico; three children, Mrs. Erma Campbell and Arthur Anderson, both of San Rafael, and Oral Anderson of Quincy. Two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Overton of Chico and Mrs. Bessie Clark of Corte Madera, and 12 grandchildren.
"Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Westfall Funeral Home. Members of Halleck Relief Corps and Beulah Rebeckah Lodge are invited to attend in a body. Rev. Gregory S. Morony of Oak Park Baptist Church of Sacramento will officiate and burial will follow in the family plot in Chico Cemetery."
