WILLIAM A. FUDGE


William A. Fudge. 66, of 2831 Booser Ave., Penbrook, near Harrisburg, native of Coaldale, died suddenly Thursday at 1 p.m. Employed as a janitor in a Penbrook school, he had been talking to a friend, when stricken.


He was a son of Mrs. Mary Potts Fudge, Tamaqua; and the late Thomas Fudge. His wife, the former Emma Newman, died three years ago.


He was treasurer and deacon in St. Andrew's Evangelical and Reformed Church.


Surviving are four daughters and two sons: Mrs. Joyce Knorr, at home; Mrs. David Forsberg, Mrs. Claude Jenkins, Harry, Walter, and Mrs. Roy Walner, all of Penbrook: 11 grandchildren; his mother; three sisters and a brother: Mrs. Thomas L. Davis Sr., Mrs. Fred Scheidegger and Mary Hoffa, all of Tamaqua; Fred Fudge, Coaldale


A viewing will be held at Davis Funeral Home Tamaqua, Friday evening. Saturday the body be taken to Penbrook, to lie in state in St. Andrew's Church. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon, with interment in Shoop's Cemetery, Penbrook.
