Billy R. Short, 73, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at his home. He was born Dec. 28, 1936, to Paul and Clara Ricks Short in Prentiss County. He retired from JESCO. He was a faithful member of Midway Baptist Church. He enjoyed gospel music, camping and fishing.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Short officiating. Burial will be in Ingram Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Bernice Short of Baldwyn; one sister, Maxine Williams; four sons; one daughter, Ginger Hamblin; eight grandchildren; one stepson; two stepdaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Marvern Williams.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Short, Freddie Holder, Kenny Williams, Billy Copeland, Gerald Bennett and Jay Moore.
