On Jan. 1, 1874, Mr. Gottshall married Miss Matilda C. Wise, daughter of Fredrick and Maria Wise, of South Middleton township, and they have had one child, Franklin E., who was born in 1874, attended the schools of South Middleton township, and is now engaged in the photographing business at Harrisburg, though he continues to live in Boiling Springs, making the trip morning and evening.

Peter D. Gottshall, 76, died last night at the home of a son, F.E. Gottshall, 52 North Seventeenth street (sic). Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Churchtown. The Rev. Thomas Reisch, pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, will officiate. Mr. Gottshall was employed as a carpenter by the Pennsylvania System for thirty-nine years. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Boiling Springs. Besides a son, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Wolf and Mrs. Samuel Lear, both of Boiling Springs, survive.

Gottshall, for nearly three-quarters of a century of Springville and Boiling Springs and for about 40 years an employe (sic) of the Philadelphia & Reading Railway Company at Boiling Springs, died at the home of his son, Frank Gottshall, aged 76 years. He was a carpenter by trade and years ago was employed in Carlisle, having worked at the car shops. He is survived by his son, granddaughter, Margaret, and by his sister, Mrs. William Wolf, of Harrisbug (sic).

Funeral services will be held Saturday at the home of the son, 52 North Seventeenth street (sic), Harrisburg. Interment in Mt. Zion cemetery (sic),
