Funeral services for the late Mrs. William Asmuth of South Orange, N. J., formerly Laura LaBudde of Elkhart Lake, will be held Wednesday afternoon at St. John's Evangelical Church, Elkhart Lake. The Rev. Carl Nagel will officiate and interment will be made at Elkhart Lake cemetery.
Mrs. Asmuth died at her home at South Orange Saturday evening, June 21, following an operation. Funeral services were held at South Orange Monday afternoon after which the remains were sent to Elkhart Lake, where she will lie in state at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis LaBudde, and at St. John's Evangelical church.
Deceased was born in Elkhart Lake and spent her early life there. She taught in the Elkhart Lake school for several years. On September 14, 1910, she was married to William Asmuth at Elkhart Lake after which they moved to Milwaukee for a number of years, and then to South Orange where they have since resided.
She is survived by her husband, four sons, William, Edward, Robert and Richard, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis LaBudde, four sisters, Mrs. E. A. Bruns of Plymouth, Mrs. Harry Cole of Eagle River, Mrs. Norbert Lavey of Elkhart Lake and Mrs. Carl Marks of Milwaukee, and three brothers, Adolph of Duluth, Minn., and Edward and Leroy of Milwaukee.
As a member of the Eastern Star and an enthusiastic worker of the Episcopal church of South Orange, Mrs. Asmuth was an active citizen in her community.
