Samuel Palmer, long time resident of Iron County, passed away at St. Mary's of the Ozarks Hospital Wednesday , August 10, 1942, after an illness of a few days, having been in the institution only four days at the time of his death. He had been living in Pilot Knob for the past couple of years, but previous to that time had resided in Ironton many years. Deceased was 82 years and 10 days of age. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Palmer, several grown children and a number of grandchildren who have the sympathy of everyone in their sad bereavement. Funeral services were held from the Baptist Church in Pilot Knob Saturday, August 22,
