Alice Shaw, 83, of 16 Oaklawn Rd. died Sunday in the District of Worthing, Christ Church Parish, Barbados, where she had wintered for 20 years. She was the widow of Raymond H. Shaw, and corporate president of the Woonsocket Supply Co. since his death in 1981.
Born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Walter and Hattie (Scott) Redfern, she lived in the city until 1981.
Mrs. Shaw was a graduate of Simmons College, Boston. She was a member of the First Universalist Church, Woonsocket, and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She leaves two sons, Craig S.C. Shaw, with whom she lived, and Bruce H.L. Shaw of Cumberland; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the First Universalist Church, Earle Street, Woonsocket. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
