Mary Louise HOEKSTRA was the second of three daughters of John Martin HOEKSTRA and Lillian Fern STRONG. Her sisters were Ruth Lillian and Hope Mildred HOEKSTRA.
On 26 January 1946, Mary Lou married John Peter GLASHOWER, II. They had four children, including infant son Alan Larry GLASHOWER.
Mary Lou and John lived for many years in Cedar Springs, Kent County, Michigan. In 1977, they retired to Punta Gorda. There, Mary Lou passed away in 1994 from colon cancer. Her cremains (along with husband John's - who died three years later) are buried in the same lot where Alan was laid to rest.
