Funeral service for Virgil L. Lyle, 71, will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel with the Rev. Max Buttram officiating. Burial will be in Odena Cemetery.
Mr. Lyle died June 9 at his residence. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, the IBEW Union, Elks Club, and was a volunteer firefighter at Virgina Fiber Corp. in Riverville, Va.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Lyle of Sylacauga; two sons, Robert Leslie Lyle of Lawndale, Calif., and William Roger Lyle of Richmond, Va.; a daughter, Anna Denise Drohan of Atlanta; his mother, Mildred King Lyle of Sylacauga; two brothers, Tommy Lyle of Alabaster and Kerry Lyle of Montevallo; three sisters, Betty Isbell of Childersburg, Linda Mizell of Sylacauga and Jane Glenn of Birmingham; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel will direct the service.
