LIMA, Ohio - Catherine J. "Kate" James, 82, passed away at 3:30 a.m. on Nov. 15, 2010, at her residence, following a courageous battle with kidney disease.
She was born May 16, 1928, the daughter of the late Edwin and Edna (Wright) Hager in East Liverpool.
Mrs. James married the late John James Jr. on Dec. 13, 1947.
She retired from East Liverpool Hospital. She loved her hometown of East Liverpool and her ashes will be brought back at a later date.
Her survivors include her daughter: Vicki (Paul) Nardini of Lima, Ohio; son, John (Nancy) James III of Savannah, Ga.; five grandchildren, Jason Dale of Union Town, Ohio, Travis (Molly) Dale of Columbus, Eric Dale of Columbus, Matthew James of Florida, and Rachel Lighthiser of Mesa, Ariz.; step-grandchildren, Angela (Todd) Nardini-Markel of West Chester, and Paul Nardini III of Altus, Okla.; five great-grandchildren; four brothers: Edwin (Sue) Hager, Joseph Hager, James (Jeannie) Hager, David (Carolyn) Hager; and two sisters; Harriet Slagel and Barbara Hall.
She was preceded in death by her husband; brother, Clark Hager; and five sisters: Ella May Carter, Dorothy LeeMaster, Hazel Adkins, Edna Hebron and Betty Lou Hager.
