Mrs. Sarah (Lemons) Miller was born November 26th 1833 in Marion county Ill., and departed this life at the home of her son, Frank Miller, of Lincoln county, September 27th, age 80 years 10 months. She was married to Samuel Miller June 11th 1851. To this union 10 children were born, five girls and five boys. Three of these and her husband have proceeded her to the world beyond. She made a confession of her faith in Christ in early life and remained faithful until death. She was a kind loving wife, a loving mother and' a friend to all. She leaves to mourn her loss five sons and two daughters: Mrs. Ellen Brees of Knoxville Iowa, Mrs. Fernata Curtis of Highland, Iowa, J. II. of Manhattan, F. M. of Lucas Kan. M. M. of Tully Kan., J. S. of Sylvan Grove, and I. S. Miller of Keats Kansas, one brother, Jake Lemons of Hunter and one sister Mrs. Effie Belveal, of Luray. The interment was made in the Green Valley cemetery.
