Diana Michelle Rhodes-Covington, 40, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, at Paris Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at Holy Cross Episcopal Church with Father Tim Cherry officiating. Burial follows in Oakwood Cemetery in Honey Grove under the direction of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.

The family is at Diana's father's home at all times and receives friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

She was born Sept. 1, 1967, in Munich, Germany to Lynn R. and Georgie Scarlas Rhodes. She graduated from North Lamar High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree at Texas Women's University and her Masters degree in Physical Therapy from UT/Southwestern Medical School. She was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She practiced at the Paris Physical Therapy Clinic and served as the Director of Physical Therapy at Presbyterian Hospital-Winnsboro prior to a severe car wreck in 2004. She married Troy Jason Covington on Aug. 28, 2000, in Grand Bahamas. She was a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Georgie Rhodes on July 12, 1998.

She is survived by her husband, Troy Covington of Sulphur Springs; her father, Lynn Rhodes and wife, Lorrie Norton Rhodes, of Paris; her sister, Sherri Reinert and husband, Chris, of Frisco; her nephew, Alex Reinert of Frisco; uncles and aunts, Ronnie and Nancy Rhodes of Paris, Jerry and Pat Rhodes of Dallas, Steve Scarlas of Rainell, W.V., Rose Izzo of Cleveland, Ohio, Mary Scarlas of Baltimore, Md. and Helen Fenny of Michigan; a great-aunt, Justina Fowler of Honey Grove; and her beloved pets, Napoleon, Rommel and Barney.

The family would like to express thanks to all of the health professionals who have ministered to Diana these past years.

Pallbearers will be Brad Ashford, Tom Vincil, Patrick Stager, Jose Peralta, Jim Shivers and Brad Winn.
