Derek is survived by his parents, a sister, Kiley Marie Nichole Chesser, his grandparents, Jimmy and Christy Wardrip, Breckinridge County, KY, Freddy Joe & Bonnie Bernice Thompson, Big Spring, KY, his great-grandparents, Marie & her late husband, Fred Howard Wardrip, Don Coates, Meade County, KY, Tom & Brenda Edsell, Leitchfield, KY, his great-great-grandmother, Lorena Robinson, Mount Washington, KY, 4 aunts, Nikki and Kellie Wardrip, Dawn and Ashley Thompson, and 2 uncles, Jimmy Wardrip and Joey Thompson.
