Joy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Frank 'Pancho' Graham; her children, Kay (Jim) Jacob of Bishop, Texas, Frank (Loy) Graham, Jr. of Bartlett, Texas, Eve (Dave) Weber, of Okinawa, Japan; four grandsons, five granddaughters, eight great-grandsons, and four great-granddaughters. She is also survived by her brother, Mike (Suzy) Brian of Medford, Oregon; her sister, JoBetsy (Ed) Kinser of Warner Robbins, Georgia; her brother, Pat Brian of Austin, Texas; her brother, Don (Peggy) Reese of Norman, Oklahoma; her sister, Janis Rich of Lawton, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.
Joy taught school in Brooks and Jim Hogg County Schools for 28 years. She enjoyed being a rancher's wife for 57 years. She sewed, cooked, rode horses, worked cattle, played and taught accordion, and loved her cats and dogs.
She was a member of several clubs, including Kleberg/Kenedy Extension Education Association, and served as secretary for the last 10 years. She loved her friends and community service.
Visitation will be at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary on Thursday, November 18, 2010 from 12:00 noon to 8:00 P.M.; with family receiving friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 1:00 PM, and will be officiated by Rev. Sheldon Johnson. Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery.
