Hilary Thomson (Adcock) Dunnaway, 101, Lee's Summit, MO, died Sunday, November 17, 2002. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, November 22, at Newcomer's Stine & McClure Chapel, 3235 Gillham Plaza, Kansas City, MO, where visitation will be 10:30-11 a.m. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Tuscumbia Cemetery, Tuscumbia, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to John Knox Village or Lee's Summit Christian Church, Lee's Summit, MO.

Mrs. Dunnaway was born October 18, 1901, in Tuscumbia, MO. She graduated form Eldon High School and attended Central Missouri State College in Warrensburg. She married Herbert Ray Dunnaway on June 1, 1924.

She taught in both Missouri and Kansas. She researched and wrote four family histories for Thomson, Adcock, Kennedy and Dunnaway families. They are in seven historical and genealogical libraries, including the Mormon library in Salt Lake City, UT. She wrote and published a book of her memories, a 15-year work published in 1995. She was a member of the Lee's Summit Christian Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Dixie Ann Dunnaway, Parkville, MO.
