Charles Hickox, a pioneer settler of Jefferson county, who came with his parents from Connecticut, seventy years ago and located at Cool Springs, died at his home in Perry twp., Jefferson county Monday morning [29 Jun 1902] of cancer of the stomach, aged 80 years. He had a wide reputation as a trapper and hunter and his record showed that he had captured more game than any other hunter in Jefferson county.
