DELTA--Maurine Hyer Anderson, age 83, died July 2, 1997, at Delta, Utah.

Born November 11, 1913, at Lewiston to Orson Urben and LaPriel B. Gardner Hyer. Married Rulon David Anderson November 2, 1932, in the Logan LDS Temple. He died June 29, 1987.

She attended one year at BYU and there met Rulon. Lived in Sutherland until retirement. Then moved to Delta. Founder of Lyric Lore Club. Enjoyed quilting, flower gardening and reading.

Active in the LDS Church, holding many positions including organist, chorister, Sunday School Secretary, Relief Society teacher, and in Primary for 35 years.

Survived by son and daughters, LaRue A. Rigby, Provo; Luana A. Evans and David H. (Edith) Anderson, both Delta; grandson (raised), Wayne (Julie) Evans, West Jordan; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by twin sons, daughter and brothers, Gardner and Norwood.

Funeral services Wednesday July 9, 1997, 11 a.m., Delta 3rd-4th LDS Ward. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m. Burial in the Delta Cemetery under the direction of Nickle Mortuary, Delta.
