Miss (Mrs.) Manda Pelton, 40, of Coahoma, was injured fatally at about 11:30 o'clock last night when the care in which she was riding was struck by a machine driven by a man who is being held for investigation. No charges have been filed, although he had made a statement to officers that he was driving a car which had been "hi-jacked" from him recently.
J. J. Weldon of Big Spring, was hurt, but not seriously, and Millard Atkins, also of Big Spring, escaped without injury. They were taking Mrs. Pelton to Coahoma when their car was struck at 1003 East Third street.

Miss (Mrs.) Manda Pelton, 40, of Coahoma, was injured fatally at about 11:30 o'clock last night when the care in which she was riding was struck by a machine driven by a man who is being held for investigation. No charges have been filed, although he had made a statement to officers that he was driving a car which had been "hi-jacked" from him recently.
J. J. Weldon of Big Spring, was hurt, but not seriously, and Millard Atkins, also of Big Spring, escaped without injury. They were taking Mrs. Pelton to Coahoma when their car was struck at 1003 East Third street.
