The deceased was a native of North Carolina and was 62 years old. Upon coming to Palatka (FL) many years ago, he was employed by the old Selden Sash, Door and Blind Company and resided on Palatka Heights. Later he returned to North Carolina and remained there for a few years, and then returned to Putnam County to make his home at Francis and engage in the lumber mill business.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Effie T. Ferree, Francis; three children by a former marriage, Mrs. J. Phal Hodgin, Greensboro, N.C.; George Willard Ferree, this city, and Mrs. John Prendergass, Raleigh, N.C. There are also two brothers Tyson Ferree, Skistock, Okla., and Oscar Ferree, Clarks, La.; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Trogdon, Randelman, N.C. and Mrs. Blanche Allred, Asheboro, N.C., and six grandchildren.
