The funeral for Mrs. Edith H. Prince will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, at Elkins East Chapel Funeral Home. Brother Terry Herston will officiate. Burial will follow in McCartney Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Elkins East Chapel is assisting the family.Mrs. Prince, of Rogersville, celebrated her 93rd birthday Sunday with family at Lauderdale Christian Nursing Home. She passed away early Monday morning.Mrs. Prince taught elementary grades in the Lauderdale County School System for many years. She was a member of Old Mount Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church.She was preceded in death by parents, Mose and Justin Haraway; husband, C.M. Prince; brothers, Newton Haraway and Braxton Haraway; and sister, Eldred Whitehead.She is survived by sisters, Geraldine White and Ernestine Hannah and her husband, Turner, and brother, Edward B. Haraway, all of Rogersville; four nephews and five nieces.Pallbearers will be Ronnie Haraway, James Whitehead, Andy Hannah, Neal Stephens, Tommy Word and Sam Camp.
