ARENA/MAZOMANIE — James R. Lloyd, age 83 of, Mazomanle and formerly of Arena died on Monday, June 9,1980 at a Prairie du Sac hospital. Mr. Lloyd was born on March 10, 1897 in Arena Township and was united in marriage to Margaret Hottmann on February 14, 1942. He served in World War I and had lived all of his life in Arena Township until moving to Mazomanle on March 1, 1980. His friends and neighbors were a joy in his life, his willing hand to all was readily given. Mr. Lloyd was a member of the Arena American Legion Post No. 441. Survivors include his wife Margaret; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Kathyrn) Kirch of Mt. Horeb; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Ralph, Henry and Joseph. Funeral services will be held at the GNEWIKOW FUNERAL HOME, Mazomanle, at l:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 1980 with the Reverend Ben Ranum officiating. Burial and Military Graveside Rites will be held at the Arena Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10 at the funeral home. Please omit flowers.
