Born in Tazewell County, December 1, 1957. she was the daughter of Aubrey Dale Brown of Keen Mountain and Helen Carroll Wilcox Read of Pilgrim's Knob. She was of the Christian faith, and was a former employee of Sandy Valley Lanes and General Dollar Store of Grundy. She was a member of the Women's National Bowling Association for over 20 years.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Rondal David Brown, James Dale Brown, Danny Ray Brown and Jerry Lee Brown.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by three sons, Christopher Shawn Hale, Benjamin Earl Hale and Jeffery Alex Hale, all of Page; step-son, Kevin Hale of Page; two sisters, Melanie Burton, of Castlewood and Carla Brown Hurley, of Pilgrim's Knob; one brother, Edward Wayne Brown of Pilgrim's Knob; half-brother, Robbie Brown, of Bristol, TN; one niece, Kayla Keen; and two nephews, Garrett Brown and Samuel Brown.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, November 8 at Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home, Keen Mountain Chapel, with the Revs. Jody Breeding and Shane Breeding officiating. Burial followed on Tuesday, November 9 at Clinch Valley Memorial Cemetery in Richlands.
Active pallbearers were Kevin Hale, Seth Justice, Andel Hurley, Cody Yates, Ernie Burton and Nathan Mitchell.
Honorary pallbearers were Herman and Cookie Yates, Michael (Briar) Owens, Dr. Jack Ballinger, Samuel Harrison Brown, Garrett Brown and Kayla Keen.
