George Brenton McCelland Price was born the son of John Brenton Price and Julanna Hunniston Adams. They are buried in Troy Mills, Iowa. George was married to Mary Belle Leatherman on March 27, 1889 in Walker, Iowa. He was a farmer, operated a butcher shop at one time in Troy Mills and moved to Walker, Iowa in their later life and lived down Creamery Hill. George was totally blind but he still planted a garden and it was straight as should be. He also got on the roof of house and repaired it.

"George Price, 90, Dies at Walker"

Walker - George Price, 90, died Tuesday at his home here. He is survived by his wife; 4 daughters, Mrs Stewart Chester of San Diego, Calif, Mrs Janie Dudley and Mrs George Madison of Cedar Rapids and Mrs Lowell Dudley of Walker; a son, Elmer Price of Quasqueton. Services Thursday at 2 pm at Troy Mills Christian church; burial in Troy Mills cemetery. The body will he at the Harris llawe funeral home in Quasqueton until Thursday morning, when it will be taken to the family home.
